How much does apartment cleaning cost?
Apartment cleaning is priced by the hour for your location and clean type. A 2-hour standard clean starts from $122, a deep clean from $126 and a move-out clean from $138. Prices vary by location, and there is a $3 booking fee. Your total is shown in the app before you confirm, based on your city, the clean type and the hours you choose, so there are no surprises when the cleaner arrives. Recurring plans keep the same simple hourly pricing. See house cleaning prices for a full breakdown.

How long does it take to clean a studio, 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom apartment?
Every booking has a 2-hour minimum, which covers a standard clean for many studios and 1-bedroom units. Two-bedroom apartments, deep cleans and extras usually need more time. The app suggests hours based on your bedrooms and bathrooms, and you can add time when you book. As a rough guide, a tidy studio or 1-bedroom is often a good fit for 2 to 3 hours, a 2-bedroom with one or two bathrooms usually needs 3 to 4 hours, and a deep or move-out clean of the same unit takes longer because it covers inside cabinets, appliances and baseboards. Pets, clutter and extras such as inside the oven or fridge add time.

What is included in an apartment cleaning?
A standard clean covers kitchen counters, sink and appliance fronts, bathrooms cleaned and sanitized, dusting, beds made, and floors vacuumed and mopped in every room. You can add inside the oven, fridge or cabinets, interior windows and laundry. Tell us what matters most in your booking notes, such as pet hair on the couch or a kitchen that needs extra attention, and your cleaner will focus there first. If your apartment has not had a proper clean in a while, start with deep cleaning and then switch to a recurring standard clean. Cleaning a whole house instead? See house cleaning.

Do you clean condos and lofts too? What about partner buildings?
Yes. Condos, lofts, townhouse units and studios are booked the same way as any apartment: pick your clean type, size and time in the app and see the full price before you confirm. Some apartment communities offer Cleanster perks to their residents. If you live in a partner building, see apartment resident perks for details. Questions? Our support team is here 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central Time.

Can I book a move-out cleaning for my apartment?
Yes. Book a Move-Out clean for the empty unit. It includes inside cabinets, appliances and baseboards, which helps you hand the apartment back in good shape. Book it after your furniture is out so your cleaner can reach floors, closets and corners, and leave the keys or access details in the app. See move-out cleaning.
-
Do I need to be home during my apartment cleaning?
No. Many clients leave access or building instructions in the app, such as a concierge, lockbox, buzzer code or parking notes, and follow progress in real time with photos when the clean is done. Renters often book before a landlord inspection, after a roommate moves out or every couple of weeks. Recurring clients can choose weekly, every-2-weeks, every-3-weeks or monthly visits. Late cancellations carry a $20 fee, and cancelling a recurring plan early carries a $40 fee.
-
Are Cleanster cleaners background-checked?
Yes. Every CleansterPro passes a background check run by ClearChecks, an ID check and checks with 3 or more references before their first job.
