Como fazer uma cama ao estilo de hotel: guia de roupa de cama para rotações Airbnb
Publicados: Outubro 31, 2026
The bed is the first thing guests photograph and the first thing they judge. A crisp, hotel-style bed tells them the whole place was cleaned with care, and it shows up in reviews. For short-term rental hosts, it’s also about consistency: every turnover should look the same as your listing photos. This guide covers how to make a hotel-style bed step by step, the linens to stock, and speed tips that help cleaners make beds fast without cutting corners.
What makes a bed look “hotel-style”
- White or light, solid-color linens that look clean and are easy to bleach or match.
- Tight, flat sheets with no wrinkles or sagging corners.
- Layers: a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a duvet or blanket, and a neat fold at the top.
- Full pillows in fresh cases, sized to the bed.
- One simple accent, such as a throw across the foot of the bed.
The linen list for each bed
Stock at least three full sets per bed: one on the bed, one in the wash and one ready on the shelf. For each set:
- Mattress protector (waterproof and breathable)
- Fitted sheet and flat sheet
- Duvet insert plus duvet cover, or a blanket
- Two pillows per guest, with pillow protectors and pillowcases
- Optional: a throw or bed runner
Pick one sheet brand and size per bed size, so sets are interchangeable. Label shelves by bed size (King, Queen, Twin) to save time at every turnover.
How to make a hotel-style bed: step by step
- Strip and check. Remove all linens and check the mattress and protector for stains, damage or signs of pests. Report anything with photos before you continue.
- Protector on. Put on a clean mattress protector, or check that the existing one is clean and smooth.
- Fitted sheet. Start at the corner farthest from you, then the opposite diagonal corner, then the last two. Pull the sides down so the top is flat.
- Flat sheet. Lay it face down, with the wide hem at the top, level with the top of the mattress. Let the sides hang evenly.
- Hospital corners. Tuck the foot of the sheet under the mattress. At each corner, lift the side edge up into a triangle, tuck the hanging part under, then drop the triangle and tuck it in. You get a neat 45-degree fold.
- Duvet. Lay the covered duvet on top, centered, with equal overhang on both sides.
- Top fold. Fold the top of the flat sheet over the duvet by about a hand’s width so the hem shows. Then fold both down together once more for a clean band.
- Pillows. Put pillowcases on, tuck the open end inside, and stand them against the headboard with the open ends facing away from the door.
- Finish. Smooth everything flat with your palms, add the throw across the foot of the bed and step back to check it matches the listing photo.
Putting on a duvet cover the fast way
Turn the cover inside out. Reach inside, grab the two top corners, and use them to pinch the two top corners of the insert. Shake it so the cover falls down over the insert, then button or zip the bottom. It takes under a minute once you’ve done it a few times, much faster than climbing inside the cover.
Speed tips for cleaners
- Start laundry first. Strip every bed as soon as you arrive and start the washer, so sheets are washing while you clean the rest of the home.
- Work one side at a time. Do the fitted, flat and duvet on one side, then walk around once. Every lap around the bed costs time.
- Pre-fold linen sets. Fold each set into one bundle (fitted inside flat, with pillowcases) so you grab one stack per bed.
- Make beds before floors. Making a bed drops lint and dust, so vacuum after.
- Check against the photo. Keep the host’s listing photo or checklist photo open on your phone for the final look.
- Protect your back. Bend your knees, not your waist, when tucking, and kneel on one knee for low beds.

Linen care for hosts
- Wash new linens before first use.
- Treat stains right away and set aside anything that won’t come clean.
- Replace sheets that are thin, pilled or stained, and pillows that have gone flat.
- Store sets in a dry, closed cupboard so they don’t pick up dust or smells.
- Tell your cleaner in the checklist whether linens are washed on site or swapped with a fresh set.

Hotel-style bed FAQ
What thread count do hotels use?
It varies. Comfort, weave and durability matter more than the number. Many hosts choose a mid-range percale or sateen cotton that holds up to frequent washing.
Why do hotels use white sheets?
White looks clean, shows stains so they get replaced, and can be bleached and mixed between sets.
How many linen sets do I need per bed?
At least three: one on the bed, one in the wash and one spare.
How long should it take to make a bed?
With practice and a pre-folded set, a few minutes per bed. A duvet cover change adds a minute or two.
Should cleaners wash linens on site?
Follow the host’s instructions for each property. Some use on-site laundry, others provide fresh sets.
